基隆長庚醫院日前進行「中東呼吸症候群冠狀病毒感染症候群（MERS）」防疫實兵演練，演習情境為「門診發現疑似MERS個案運送動線演習」（見圖）；基隆市衛生局長吳澤誠到場全程督察。
吳局長表示，「防疫如同作戰」，目前國內尚無MERS疫情，但大家平時就應做好準備，萬一有疫情發生才能做有效的因應，保護民眾及所有醫護同仁安全與健康，並避免造成醫院內及社區的傳播感染。
吳澤誠提醒民眾，儘量不要前往疫區，若一定要到疫區，請注意個人衛生、呼吸道防護及手部衛生，避免騎乘或接觸駱駝，或生飲駱駝等動物奶，非醫療必要應，一般民眾也要避免前往南韓醫療院所，以降低受感染可能性。
